Object diagrams are used to illustrate a static point in an application. An object diagram is high level abstraction and does not encompass all possible events of a program. The depth of abstraction is up to you.

Object diagrams:

  • include two elements: objects and links.
  • Add a meaningful name
  • Show the most important elements
  • Clarify all links with comments
  • Annotate anything that's not obvious by diagram alone
